This week United Crescent Hill Ministries welcomed Emily Purdy, our new Community Engagement Vista. Emily is from Lanesville, Indiana and is a recent graduate of Bellarmine University, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Exercise Science. While she was in school, she was involved in many different organizations that have helpedprepare her for this role, such as a service learning community and the student government association.

Emily chose to use this year as a year of service with the AmeriCorps VISTA program because she believes it is the best way to make use of her time and skills in the midst of everything going on in the world. She is passionate about learning more about her community, and doing whatever she can to help others. Her first day was August 17th, and she has really enjoyed meeting her coworkers, and working alongside the dedicated volunteers who have come in.
