UCHM COVID-10 Response: How You Can Help

UCHM continues to serve our neighbors and build better community during the global COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. Now, more than ever, community members are in need of emergency financial assistance, emergency food, and additional case management support. UCHM will be here today, tomorrow, and in the future to provide assistance to our community members during this difficult time. However, we need your support. If you are interested in helping UCHM serve the community as we navigate the new challenges ahead, please see below for a list of what we are most in need of at this time.

Give: COVID-19 will have a long-lasting affect on our community members livelihoods. We anticipate an increase in the need of financial assistance with rent, utilities, food, medications, and more. To help us meet this growing need, please considering donating to UCHM by visiting our website, or visiting the Assocation of Community Ministries Website (for a list of community ministries in your area).

Volunteer:  We know that many community members want to help during this crisis. If you not at-risk, are younger that 60, healthy (no underlying health issues or immunocomprimised), we welcome you to volunteer with us. Currently, we are most in need of volunteers to help with our food pantry program, which runs Monday-Friday, from 1-4pm. Please check out our website or visit the Association for Community Ministries Volunteer Form.

Donate:  With growing unemployment due to job loss, food insecurity is high. Here is a list of our current needs:

  • Canned Vegetables
  • Canned Fruit
  • Canned Meats
  • Shelf stable milk
  • Low sugar cereals
  • Dry pasta
  • Spaghetti sauce
  • Body wash, hand soap, or deodorant
  • Shampoo
  • Toothpaste or toothbrushes
  • Toilet tissue
  • Laundry or dish detergent
  • Feminine care products
  • Formula
  • Diapers (sizes 1,2,3,4, and 5)
  • Baby wipes

Together, we will continue to ensure that our community needs are met and that our community members are able to thrive.
